EdEssential Consultants is an organization that has been meeting the needs of charter schools since 2016, we serve the Sylmar valley and Los Angeles county communities.
Today, EdEssential Consultants supports up to 100 students without sacrificing quality. Our Founder was a School Counselor who serviced students in the Southern California area. One of the company’s goals is to meet the needs of students individually. EdEssential Consultants promotes a mental health perspective that our school counselors understand is essential to today’s diverse student population. Our company philosophy for academic achievement is based on the three keys for success; Key: 1- Design, Key: 2 - Implementation and Key: 3 – Evaluation. These three keys are vital for students to achieve positive social behaviors.
Trennell Palacio began to build her professional foundation at California State University, Los Angeles. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts. Following a vision for her future, she obtained a Pupil Service and Attendance credential from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She also pursued a Master of Arts in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University. Trennell is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
Ms. Palacio has almost two decades of experience, serving public and non-public schools. This includes working as a Counselor Coordinator, Behavioral Interventionist, Substitute Teacher, and Designated Instructional Service (DIS) Counselor. She continued to advance in counseling eventually being promoted to the Lead DIS School Counselor of her organization. Some of her duties involved supervising and mentoring 8 School Counselors.
Trennell is passionate about working with exceptional students in the Special Education Programs. Her high standards are based on Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), while abiding by the Educational Codes. She is still able to create safe alternative environment that supports the social-emotional needs of her students/clients. Ms. Palacio believes in offering students choices based on the academic, vocational, and behavioral needs. This student-centric philosophy is based on equity and maintaining the Least Restrictive Environment.
